Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Vadnais Heights Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol have identified a pedestrian who died after a motorist struck her and fled the scene early Friday morning.

According to the state patrol, the incident occurred on eastbound Interstate 694 at Edgerton Street near the Vadnais Heights and Little Canada border shortly after 2:30 a.m. Friday.

There, Aelicia Taylor, 38, of St. Paul, was fatally struck by a passing smaller red passenger car that then fled the scene. The State Patrol says preliminary information shows Taylor had hit a guard rail and left her vehicle. She was walking on 694 when she was hit.

Police say they are searching for a 2013 – 2016 red Audi.
