Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit By Car In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a woman was hit while crossing the street in St. Paul.

According to police, the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at White Bear Avenue and Idaho Avenue.

Police said the woman was in the crosswalk when a minivan hit her.

The Pioneer Press reports the woman who was hit is 66 years old, and suffered severe head injuries.

She was taken to Regions Hospital.

The paper reports the driver of the car was a man and that there was no indication that he was speeding or under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the driver was very cooperative.
