Pedestrian Struck, Killed In St. Louis County Hit-And-Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking in St. Louis County Wednesday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just before 7 p.m. 85-year-old Florence Jean Mannelin, of Makinen, was walking across the 100 block of Broadway Avenue in Gilbert when she was hit by a car.

The car did not stop and continued to travel northbound on Broadway Avenue.

Mannelin was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation.
