State Patrol: Pedestrian, 71, Hit By SUV In Big Lake
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 71-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured Saturday morning after she was hit by an SUV in Big Lake.
Patricia Trueheart, of Big Lake, was struck by a Chevy Silverado at about 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 25 and Ornsbee Street, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver of the Silverado, 21-year-old Caleb Mengelkoch of Annandale, was apparently turning northbound onto Hwy 25 when he struck Trueheart. He was not injured in the accident.
Big Lake Police and the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office are assisting the state patrol with the investigation.
