Central Minn. Man Burned After Bobcat Tips Into Brush Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A central Minnesota man is in the hospital with burns after his construction vehicle tipped into a brush fire Friday night.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said the 42-year-old Paynesville man was attempting to add brush to an existing fire with a Bobcat when the vehicle tipped towards the fire.

The man could not get the Bobcat to tip backwards, and so he had to exit through the fire. He received burns on his legs, arms, hands and face, the sheriff's office said.

The man was transported to the Paynesville Hospital and later transferred to the Hennepin County Medical Center. His status is unknown at this time.
