Patrol: Rock Flies Through Windshield, Injures Wis. Man On I-35W

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says a 22-year-old Wisconsin man was injured when a large rock flew through his windshield while he was driving in St. Louis County Sunday.

According to the patrol, the man was driving his car southbound on Interstate 35W near milepost 253 at 11:20 p.m. when the rock came through his windshield and struck him in the chest.

The man -- identified as Matthew Fijalkiewicz of Superior, Wisconsin -- suffered a non-life threatening injury in the incident, according to the patrol.

Fijalkiewicz's exact condition has not been released.
