MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 72-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon in central Minnesota after a head-on crash.

The State Patrol said Frances Anderson, of Ogilvie, was traveling west on Highway 95 near North Branch when her car crossed the center line and went into the path of an on-coming SUV.

It's not yet clear if Anderson died at the scene or at an area hospital.

The SUV's driver, 43-year-old Tammie Pliscott, of Forest Lake, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, the patrol said.

North Branch is about 45 miles north of Minneapolis.
