Patrol: Chaska Man Dies After Head-On Crash On Highway 13

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 71-year-old Chaska man died Tuesday after suffering injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 13 in the south metro.

The State Patrol says the crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. in Burnsville.

David Berg was driving a Dodge minivan south on Highway 13 when he abruptly swerved into on-coming traffic, crashing head-on into an SUV.

Another car, which couldn't stop in time, then rear-ended the SUV.

Berg was brought to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the State Patrol said.

The driver of the SUV, 55-year-old Jeanna Meyer, of Lakeville, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car that rear-ended Meyer was not injured.
