Patrol: 2 Killed When Motorcycle, Car Collide In Isanti Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The State Patrol says two people died Saturday night in a head-on collision in Isanti County.

A car collided with a motorcycle around 10 p.m. near Highway 47 and 253rd Avenue Northwest in Stanford Township.

The driver of the motorcycle, 61-year-old Steven Gohr, and his passenger, 47-year-old Anita Kemp, were thrown from the bike and killed. Both were from Andover.

Troopers say the motorcycle crossed the center line and hit the car.

The four people in the car, including two children, were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

The State Patrol says roads were wet at the time of the crash.

At least 13 motorcyclists have died on Minnesota roads this year.
