Patrol: 1 Dead After Car Rear-Ends Semi On I-94
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/AP) – The State Patrol says it's investigating a fatal crash Sunday morning on Interstate 94 in northwestern Minnesota where a compact car rear-ended a semi.
The crash happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate in Clay County, near mile marker 21.
Preliminary information shows the crash involved three vehicles and total of five people.
The State Patrol says a Saturn SL compact car rear-ended a semi. A front passenger in the vehicle was killed and two others were hurt. The semitrailer driver and his passenger weren't injured.
The names of those involved have yet to be released.
