Parise Out For Wild Against San Jose

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – In desperate need of a victory, the Minnesota Wild will be without one of is best players Tuesday night as it hosts the San Jose Sharks at Xcel Energy Center.

Zach Parise will not play Tuesday night as his father, J.P. Parise, continues to battle lung cancer. The Wild issued a statement before the game, saying it supports Zach's decision to be with his family and his dad, and the family is requesting privacy at this time.

Wild officials said they are keeping Parise and his family in their thoughts and prayers through a difficult time.
