Paisley Park, Other Prince Properties Could Go On Sale
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Prince's Paisley Park could go on sale.
Administrators of the megastar's estate have asked a judge for permission to offer nearly 20 properties owned by Prince, including the Chanhassan recording complex where he was found dead in April. Court papers filed Friday estimate the properties are worth a combined $28 million.
Earlier court filings show the special administrator — Bremer Trust — has explored public tours of Paisley Park, and some fans have speculated it could be turned into a museum.
Bremer said in one of Friday's filings that real estate agents need to begin listing the properties to take advantage of market conditions.
Among the properties is a Minneapolis house where exteriors of Prince's 1984 hit movie "Purple Rain" were filmed.
