Owl Attacks Girl, 3, In Lake Bemidji State Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 3-year-old girl is recovering after being attacked by an owl.

It happened in Lake Bemidji State Park last weekend. The owl scratched the girl's head and she went to an urgent care.

The DNR says the owl might have attacked because it felt its young were being threatened.

The owl was not found.
