Osseo's Kruah Pulls Out Final Touchdown For 6A Title Over East Ridge

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Osseo senior running back Prince Kruah capped a 71-yard, game-winning drive with 24 seconds to play as the Orioles beat East Ridge 14-13 in the Minnesota Class 6A championship Friday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Kruah's four-yard run was the difference. He had 189 yards on 43 carries — one rush shy of the Prep Bowl record — and helped deliver Osseo's first football championship in nine state trips.

Osseo (11-3) led 7-0 in the first on a Damario Armstrong touchdown reception, but East Ridge (12-2) responded with 13 unanswered points. Raptors junior kicker Grant Ryerse connected on field goal attempts of 36 and 41 yards, bookending a 23-yard touchdown reception by Sam Schiller.

Osseo quarterback Malik Gaillard completed 11-of-17 for 143 yards. East Ridge running back Dominik London finished with 126 yards rushing.
