Operation Glass Slipper Helps Teens Afford The Cost Of Prom

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A local organization is helping teens who otherwise could not afford to go to prom get the necessary items for the dance at a reasonable cost.

Operation Glass Slipper collects thousands of dresses, shoes and accessories for teenagers who can't afford the annual high school dance.

They're located next to Macy's at Southdale Center in Edina, Minn.

Girls who shop with the organization will get to meet with a "fairy godmother" who will help pick out their dresses.

Anyone in financial need can come between noon and 3 p.m. Sunday with an adult for a walk-in appointment.
