Minneapolis Open Streets Event Showcases Aztec Culture

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Sunday's Open Streets event in Minneapolis showcased the Aztec culture with an offering of traditional ancient dances.

The Open Streets event Sunday was along Franklin Avenue in the Ventura Village neighborhood of Minneapolis. The street was closed to car traffic to promote walking and biking in the city and encourage active and healthy lifestyles.

An Aztec dance group was accompanied by drums and traditional instruments. There are four more Open Street events. The next one is along West Broadway on Sept. 10.
