Open Arms Planing To Make 10,000 Meals In Cook-A-Thon

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Open Arms cooks and delivers free meals to people who have life-threatening illnesses and really need a good meal.

Now, Open Arms has a huge project coming up: They're planning to make 10,000 meals in just 24 hours in a Cook-a-Thon.

Teams of six will volunteer for two-hour shifts to prepare, cook and package food for Open Arms clients.

Open Arms' Jake Blumberg and executive chef Steven Howard were on WCCO Mid-Morning to talk about the effort.
