One dead in head-on collision in Minneapolis Saturday morning
MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota State Patrol says one driver is dead after colliding head on with another vehicle on Interstate 35W early Saturday morning.
According to an incident report, a Chevy Malibu was traveling southbound in the left lane of the northbound lanes on Interstate 35W. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on Interstate 35W.
The Jeep attempted to move from the left lane to the center lane, while the Malibu continued southbound and moved from the left lane to the center lane when both vehicles collided head on, said the incident report.
The driver of Jeep sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment. The driver of the Malibu died.
The crash is under investigation.
