Old Highway 8 Crash Leaves 1 Dead In New Brighton

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person is dead after a crash between two cars on Old Highway 8 in New Brighton Friday night.

New Brighton Police say the crash happened at around 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street Northwest. The victim in the crash was the only person hurt, as the other driver had no apparent injuries.

Investigators are recreating the crash with the Minnesota State Patrol, closing the road for several hours.
