Officials To Anglers: Don't Leave Valuables In Ice Houses

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in Benton County are urging ice anglers not to leave valuables in fish houses after a string of apparent burglary attempts on a central Minnesota lake.

The county sheriff's office said that overnight Sunday six fish houses on Little Rock Lake near Rice were damaged or opened.

It appeared someone pried (or tried to pry) them open.

Officials say that while no property has been reported stolen, the incidents are under investigation.
