Officials: Student Home Near St. Thomas Burglarized

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials from the University of St. Thomas are issuing an advisory after the home of two students living near campus was burglarized.

According to University of St. Thomas public safety, two students reported a burglary at their residence around 3 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Prior Avenue and Ashland Avenue.

Public safety said the students returned home Wednesday afternoon and found their door forcibly opened.

They said several desk and dresser drawers were opened and had been gone through.

One of the students said a large amount of cash was missing.

Nothing else was reported stolen.

The incident has been reported to the St. Paul Police Department and is currently under investigation.
