Officials: Implied Threat Causes UW River Falls To Add Extra Police

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls are responding to an anonymous threat with increased police presence this week.

According to the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, police on campus received an anonymous "written communication" that implied a threat on Oct. 15.

The communication indicated something may occur on the "Ides Of October," meaning Oct. 15.

According to campus officials, police are investigating the communication and have increased the number of officers around campus.

Campus officials said that as of now no schedule changes are expected.

Students, staff and faculty are asked to be alert and report any suspicious activity.
