Officials Apologizing After St. Paul Boy Was Left Sleeping On Bus

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials with St. Paul Public Schools are apologizing after an 11-year-old boy was left sleeping on a bus.

The incident happened last month at the end of the school day. The bus driver parked in the bus lot, but didn't notice the sleeping student.

The boy woke up 10 - 15 minutes later, walked to a nearby auto parts store and called his mom.

Drivers in St. Paul are required to check the bus when their route is finished.

The driver in this case will not drive for St. Paul Public Schools again.
