The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened around 11 p.m. on Lake Sandborn Road in Lanesburgh Township after the dirt bike's driver lost control and went off road.

Both the driver, 30-year-old Brian Edward Svoboda, and his passenger, 21-year-old Taylor Kae Bonstrom, were thrown from the bike.

A helicopter brought the two to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
