Oak Grove Man Charged In Crash That Seriously Injured 4

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An Oak Grove man was charged with four counts of criminal vehicular operation in a drunk-driving crash that seriously injured a woman and three children.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Brandon Rossmeisl's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit when his truck hit another vehicle on Saturday afternoon on Xylite Street Northeast.

The female driver he hit had to be extricated from her vehicle and suffered two broken legs. A 3-year-old girl in her vehicle suffered a broken neck and is on a ventilator. A 10-year-old boy suffered a fractured hip and a 6-year-old boy suffered a fractured skull and had part of his intestines removed.

Rossmeisl was not injured, and was arrested at the scene. He made his first court appearance Tuesday, where his bail was set at $100,000.
