Oak Grove Man Accused Of Ramming Father's Vehicle, Shooting Shotgun At Him

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 24-year-old Oak Grove man is in jail after he allegedly rammed his father's vehicle and fired a shotgun at him early Tuesday evening, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday at 6:12 p.m., Ramsey police were dispatched to a caller who said his son was trying to kill him and that he was "shot in the face." Police learned the incident began on the 179th block of Germanium St. NW. and moved from there.

Authorities say the suspect chased the victim in a separate car on Highway 47 and rammed the victim during the chase. Near 191st and southbound Highway 47, the suspect fired a shotgun round out of his passenger window, striking the victim's vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

The victim told authorities that he ducked down but did receive some minor facial cuts from flying glass and/or the shotgun blast. He did not require hospitalization.

The suspect, who authorities identify as Justin Alan Williams, was arrested without incident in his Oak Grove home. He is currently at the Anoka County Jail where he has yet to be charged.

The Anoka County Attorney's Office will be determining if and what criminal charges are appropriate.
