Nylabone Recalls Dog Chew Due To Salmonella Risk

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Pet owners should be on the lookout for certain treats that could pose a danger to both dogs and people.

Nylabone is recalling its "Puppy Starter Kit" because the dog chews may have been contaminated with salmonella.

It can be a health risk to dogs, but humans who handled the product can also get sick.

Signs that your pet may have a salmonella infection can include fever, vomiting and being lethargic.

Similar symptoms can be seen in humans.
