Now Open: New Prince Exhibit At Mall Of America

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fans of Prince have the chance to see rare artifacts and an iconic wardrobe worn by the legendary musician at a new exhibit at Mall Of America.

On Thursday, mall officials announced the opening of the exhibit, called "Prince: The Artist, The Icon, the Legend," presented by Paisley Park.

The exhibit is located on Level 3, East, and includes items never before placed on exhibit, like Prince's wardrobe in the "Raspberry Beret" video. There's also a custom outfit made for Prince to war at the 2004 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

"We're pleased to partner with Paisley Park and join with them to celebrate the life and legacy of Prince," Jill Renslow, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Mall of America, said. "We look forward to welcoming Prince fans and guests from around the world as they visit Mall of America for this authentic Prince experience."

There will also be a variety of Prince and Paisley Park-themed merchandise for sale.

The exhibit will operate through Nov. 14, 2016.
