Man Dead Following Shooting In North Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis are investigating after a man was fatally shot Thursday morning on the city's north side.

The Minneapolis Police Department says the shooting happened shortly before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Broadway and Bryant avenues. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound outside Little Caesers Pizza.

Emergency crews provided care to the victim, but he died at the scene. His name will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police say that investigators are talking with people and businesses in the area. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 612-692-8477 or text an anonymous tip to 847411.
