North Dakota St Edges Minnesota-Crookston 64-63

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Kory Brown sank the winning free throw with 2 seconds remaining to lift North Dakota State to a 64-63 win over Minnesota-Crookston on Tuesday night.

Leading by double digits, North Dakota State (3-2) saw its advantage vanish in the final minutes of the game as Minnesota-Crookston closed the gap on a 10-0 run to tie it at 63-all on a 3-pointer by John Huges with 24 second left.

Hughes then fouled Brown with 2 seconds left, setting up the game-winner. Brown sank his first shot from the free throw line and missed his second but it was enough to cement the win.

A.J. Jacobson led North Dakota State with 18 points and seven rebounds before fouling out. Dexter Werner contributed 15 points and Brown finished with 13.

Minnesota-Crookston, a Division II team, was led Tyler West Jr., who scored 12 points and hit 3 of 3 from beyond the arc.
