North Dakota Man Dies In Lawnmower Accident

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Police say a 51-year-old Valley City man is dead after the lawn mower he was riding at Hanna Field in Valley City flipped over and trapped him underneath.

Authorities say the Valley City Public School District employee died Monday in what authorities believe is an accident.

Valley City police say the employee drove the lawnmower up an incline. It flipped over, trapping him underneath.

He died of injuries from the weight of the roughly 1,300-pound mower on his back.
