Nonprofit To Offer Support For Medical Marijuana Patients

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Minnesota nonprofit has formed a Facebook group for patients seeking assistance in qualifying for the new medical marijuana program.

Sensible Minnesota works to educate the public on medical marijuana and cannabis-related issues. The nonprofit has created a group for Minnesotans currently in the program to exchange information and for patients working to qualify for the program to find support.

Currently, only 65 patients have been approved to receive cannabis on July 1.

According to a recent press release, Sensible Minnesota will train patient advocates to help new patients through the qualification process, and to provide support to those patients already in the program.

The group currently has almost 70 members.
