No Arrests After Police Investigate Threat Made To Preschool

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a threat made toward a preschool by someone in Ramsey has been determined as not credible, and there have been no arrests.

According to police, the FBI field office contacted Ramsey police on Sunday regarding a threat to shoot up a preschool they received over social media. The FBI told police that they were informed the threat was made on a chat board for a video game.

The threat stated that the person was planning to target a preschool. The threat was generic and did not pinpoint a specific location.

During the course of the investigation, police went to a local residence in Ramsey and made contact with an adult. A search of the home led police to believe there is no credible threat.

No arrests were made.

Area preschools and the Anoka-Hennepin school district were notified as a precaution.

Ramsey Police Chief Jeff Katers says police take these threats seriously and it remains under investigation.
