Nike To Offer Refunds On FuelBand Fitness Trackers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Anyone who has bought a Nike FuelBand recently could be getting a refund.

The athletic company said it will give partial refunds or gift cards to people who bought its fitness trackers over the past three years.

This comes as the result of a lawsuit that claimed the product can't accurately tally how many steps a user is taking or how many calories they've burned.

Nike must now give $15 or $25 gift cards to anyone who bought FuelBands between 2012 and June of 2015.

Nike denies the allegations but said they agreed to settle the suit to avoid a long legal battle.
