Co. Police: Fmr. Twin Cities Man Suspected Of Killing Wife, Claiming Suicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A former Twin Cities resident is accused of killing his wife while at home with their three children -- and telling investigators it was a suicide.

CBS Denver says 38-year-old Gary Nickal called Westminster Police on the morning of April 28 to report he heard a gunshot in his home, and then found his wife unconscious on the bathroom floor.

Molly Nickal, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say they found holes in her husband's story, and arrested him on a warrant for first-degree murder on April 29.

Their children are now staying with other family members.
