NHL Players Show Support For Injured Isanti Teen

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) --  Professional hockey players are showing their support for an Isanti teen severely injured during a hockey game last month.

Matt Olson played for the Totino-Grace Hockey team. While playing junior hockey with the Chicago Cougars in February, he fell into the boards, severely pinching his spinal cord. Olson is now unable to move anything below his shoulders.

At their March 29th game, both the Minnesota Wild and the Chicago Blackhawks will wear special stickers on their helmets to show support for Olson.
The whole game will be dedicated to Olson and will aim to raise money for his recovery.

The Wild and Blackhawks will also hold auctions benefiting Olson starting at noon on Sunday.
