NFL's Peterson To Address Food Allergy Conference

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — Two-time pro football Most Valuable Player Adrian Peterson will talk about his food allergies at the first FARE National Food Allergy Conference, which will be held outside Chicago.

The Minnesota Vikings running back will address the conference sponsored by the Food Allergy Research and Education group Saturday in Rosemont.

The conference will provide information for families managing food allergies which are life-altering and potentially life-threatening.

The keynote address will be given Saturday afternoon by best-selling author Curtis Sittenfeld, who is a mother managing food allergies in her family.

FARE says 15 million Americans are living with food allergies and the number of children diagnosed with the issue has increased dramatically. Sessions for adults, teenagers and parents are scheduled.

The conference ends Sunday.
