NEXT Weather: Storm to bring snow up north, rain to metro late Tuesday

MINNEAPOLIS – A storm system is coming late Tuesday that's bringing various forms of precipitation to Minnesota.

Tuesday's high temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees in the Twin Cities, which will see rain showers in the late evening through the overnight.

Much of northern, northwestern and north-central Minnesota is under a Winter Storm Watch, and will see accumulating snow from this storm to the tune of 4-7 inches. The Arrrowhead region could see upwards of 9 inches, with the storm lingering in the area through the Wednesday morning commute.

Wednesday will be breezy and quiet, with a cloudy sky and highs near 40.

Another system arrives Thursday, bringing snow across mainly southern Minnesota. The metro could see some flurries on the northern end. Highs will be in the mid-30s.

Temps appear to be locked below average through the weekend and into next week.
