NEXT Weather: Pleasant Monday, with return to 90s midweek

MINNEAPOLIS -- The heat is back on this week, but not nearly as brutal as last week.

Monday will be sunny with a high of 85 in the Twin Cities, which is near average. Highs will also be in the low-to-mid 80s throughout much of northern Minnesota.

Humidity will start to increase throughout the day, with dew points steadily rising through the week.

Tuesday may reach 90, and Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low 90s. We've already had 20 days in the 90s so far this year, which is well above the average of 13 days.

The next chance for precipitation comes on late Tuesday through overnight Wednesday.

Temps will start to drop back into the high 80s on Friday, and then next weekend will look a bit like this past weekend, with highs back around average.
