NEXT Weather: Slight weekend warmup, despite below-average highs

MINNEAPOLIS -- A warming trend begins Friday afternoon that will push highs into the mid-40s, where they will stay for the weekend.

Along with milder temps, there'll be plenty of sunshine Friday. 

Saturday will be slightly cooler, with flurries possible in western Minnesota. Sunday's high will be 38, which is almost 10 degrees cooler than average.

Monday will be in the mid-30s, before temps climb back into the 40s, and precipitation returns.
