New Ulm's Oktoberfest Named One Of The Best In The Nation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's one of the best times of the year for beer lovers. As we say goodbye to summer, breweries and restaurants start rolling out the kegs for Oktoberfests.

Fodor's Travel ranks New Ulm's fall celebration as one of the best in the nation.

As you may know, it's home to Schell's Brewery, the German craft beer company that's been churning out brews since 1860.

It also made the list for its horse-drawn trolleys and the city's 45-foot signature Glockenspiel Clock Tower.

The New Ulm Oktoberfest is held Oct. 3 and 4 and Oct. 10 and 11.

Other Midwest festivals made the list including Chicago's St. Alphonsus Oktoberfest and La Crosse, Wisconsin's Oktoberfest.
