New Hope Man, 2 Others Charged In Downtown Mpls. Brawl

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A New Hope man has been charged after a flash mob in downtown Minneapolis on St. Patrick's Day.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office says 21-year-old Elijah Morgan-Hamilton was charged with second-degree riot.

A 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy may also face potential charges. Their cases are in the juvenile system no more information is being released.

At least 300 teenagers showed up on Nicollet Mall just as the St. Patrick's Day parade was ending last week.

Several fights followed, with several people being hurt, before police were able to get things under control.
