New Brighton To Enforce Water Conservation Measures

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- New Brighton city officials have implemented water conservation measures due to maintenance work on half of their deep wells.

Residents are banned from using city water to run sprinklers between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. until further notice. An odd/even sprinkler ban is also in effect.

The ban also extends to washing cars, filling swimming pools and using open-ended hoses.

The city says water monitors will be out looking for violators.
