NE Mpls. House Damaged After Early Morning Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Crews are cleaning up after a fire in northeast Minneapolis overnight.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, firefighters responded to a call around 3:30 a.m. of a house fire in the 600 block of 24th Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews were able to distinguish the fire and search the building.

The home belonged to a single man, who made it out OK.

According to the chief, the damage was mainly in the back of the home, but the fire did spread to the attic.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
