Former NDSU Runner Competes In Rio Olympics
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Former North Dakota State University standout distance runner Erin Teschuk competed for Canada in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Olympics over the weekend but failed to qualify for the finals.
NDSU says Teschuk finished 46th overall on Saturday.
The 21-year-old two-time Canadian national champion in the steeplechase was the sixth former Bison to compete in a summer Olympics, and only the second in the last 20 years.
Teschuk's collegiate career included four first-team All-America honors in indoor track, two in outdoor track and one in cross country. She's NDSU's school record-holder in seven events. She turned pro this summer.
