Several restaurants chains are celebrating the delicious day.

KFC is launching what they call a sensory video online to help customer's appreciate their extra crispy recipe.

Popeyes will celebrate by offering some deep fried discounts.

If you're looking to celebrate locally, try Carl's Corner in New Ulm. Viewers' chose this as the best spot for fried chicken in Minnesota back in 2014.

Minneapolis favorite Revival is also a top spot to enjoy the savory bird. Universally hailed as one of the best new Twin Cities restaurants in 2015, it is also reportedly expanding to St. Paul.

For those that enjoy the savory and sweet, WCCO's Jason DeRusha also spoke highly of Breaking Bread Café's chicken and waffles dish.
