Nash, Blake Back For Lakers Vs. Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers have cleared point guard Steve Nash to play for the first time in almost three months.

Both Nash and Steve Blake were back in the starting lineup Tuesday at Minnesota. Nash had been out with a bad back, while Blake was sidelined by an elbow injury.

Coach Mike D'Antoni said before the game that Nash would be limited to the first eight minutes of each half. The Lakers play Wednesday at Cleveland, and Nash won't take part in that one.

Nash turns 40 on Friday. He last played Nov. 10, also against the Timberwolves, and has been bothered by nerve problems since then.

Blake last played Dec. 10. He's been out with a torn ligament in his right elbow.
