Mpls. 'Prairie Home Companion' Show Added To Keillor's Final Season

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Fans will have another chance to see Garrison Keillor in Minnesota before he steps down as host of "A Prairie Home Companion."

Keillor has added one more show to the current season of "Prairie Home," which he says is his last as host. That show will be broadcast May 21 from the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.

Tickets go on sale March 18 at 10 a.m.

Keillor's final time hosting from the radio show's home base at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul is Saturday. Musical guests include bluesman Taj Mahal and tenor Vern Sutton, who appeared on the first "Prairie Home" show in 1974. That show is sold out, but rush tickets will be available.

Mandolinist Chris Thile will begin hosting "Prairie Home" in October.
