Mpls. Police Seek Public's Help In August Stabbing Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police are hoping tips from the public will lead to the arrest of the person responsible in an August 2014 stabbing death.

On Aug. 16, 2014, police were called to a report of a stabbing at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday on Franklin Avenue between 4th and 5th Avenues South. When officers arrived, a woman had been stabbed and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died a short time later.

Authorities later identified the victim as 46-year-old Nanette Marie Haghi. She died of a stab wound to the chest.

Police say witnesses saw the woman fighting with a slender black man with long dread locks, who was seen running from her as she fell to the ground.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police.
