Mpls. Police Release Photos Of Suspected Purse Snatcher

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis Police investigators hope releasing surveillance images of a suspected purse snatcher in the Camden neighborhood will lead to his arrest.

During the last month, police say the suspect grabbed purses from two women in north Minneapolis. Neither victim was hurt.

The suspect is described by police as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, with a slender build and a scruffy beard.

Anyone who might recognize the man in the pictures or has any information related to the incident is asked to call the MPD robbery unit at 612-673-3856 or CRIME STOPPERS at 612-692-8477. An anonymous text can also be sent to 847-411 (enter "MPD" and the tip).

A $1,000 reward may be given for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
